My paintings explore philosophical ideas about identity and change. Moving between the role of wife and mother and my own art practice, I am interested in portraying emotional conflict, contradictions and transformation. Although not always figurative, my work focusses on the human condition and often suggests a human presence. My compositions and palette are inspired by the rural landscapes of West Dorset and the contrasting built environments of London that I move between. Predominately working with oil paint, I often experiment with collage and mixed media combining realistic narrative with expressive mark making. The visual tension between representation and chaos reflects the themes in my practice.

I have work in private collections in the UK and France. I have been exhibited in public exhibitions in London and Dorset and I am currently collaberating with the charity Arts in Hospital as the artist in residence at Dorset County Hospital.
